Business Startup Weekender with Economy of Hours
The Client: Echo is a social enterprise that enables people and organisations to exchange skills and knowledge, using time as the currency rather than money.
The Challenge: Echo++, Echo’s business weekender provided another weekend of free training, support and resources for start-up businesses. The business bootcamp, now in its third year, takes place over 48 hours, where participants test, build and adapt their business model. We were asked to reprise our role as co-facilitators of the weekend, as well as deliver the business model and marketing sections of the weekend course.
Our Approach: Echo and Make Happy worked together to build an intensive, informative 2-day programme that would leave attendees with an applicable set of skills and knowledge to grow their businesses; as well as a network of like-minded entrepreneurs and a skill exchanging platform, with Economy of Hours.
Our Solution: Using our combined marketing and business growth knowledge, we ran sessions in business modelling, marketing, creative problem-solving, as well as teaching participants how knowledge of their innovation style can help them innovate better in their business. We encouraged attendees to stress-test their businesses, connect with each other and apply these key theories and tools to their businesses.
Results: We received consistently high feedback for the weekend, equipping the cohort of entrepreneurs with the tools, network and knowledge they need to take their business forward. We have now worked with ECHO on this project for three years.
