Trailwalker 2010 – the result

Published by Jonathan Bannister under House

Well we did it. 22 hours and 43 minutes.

Four of us started. Simon had to stop at 70km as his feet just wouldn’t let him literally take another step. I hurt. We all hurt. But it was great and you certainly appreciate simple pleasures like bed again.

We have raised almost £5000 for Oxfam and The Gurkha Welfare Trust. You can still donate at www.justgiving.com/thecamels

Mareel identity

Published by Jonathan Bannister under News

We held a great workshop in Lerwick a couple of weeks ago with a group of stakeholders from Shetland Arts, Shetland Development Agency, Franklin Rae and Make Happy. We now have an approved brief and work on creating the identity started on Monday.

Jono Sandiman, Shetland Arts’ graphic designer, has come down for a week, the first of three, to work with Micha. The collaboration should make for stronger work and hopefully having Jono’s insights from the island will help Micha craft something beautiful and enduring.

Creating a world venue online

Published by Make Happy under Our Work

We are happy to announce that we have been appointed by The Shetlands Arts Council to work with them on the new launch of their arts venue in the capital of the Shetland Islands; Lerwick. We will be developing the digital strategy to turn the building into an online destination as much as real one, developing the identity for the building and taking the Venue into the wider digital world using social media, mobile and content. We are very excited to work with them and to have the opportunity to show the importance of building a brand in the online space.

We have been commissioned to work with the Catholic Communications Network to create social engagement around the impending visit by his Holiness to the United Kingdom. Using the web we are creating the ability for the first time for believers to converse with the Papacy through different channels online: Web, Mobile, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook will allow people access as never before during this historic visit, the 1st official State Visit by a Pope for over 400 years.

Rethinking a publishing icon

Published by Make Happy under Our Work

We have spent the last couple of months working with Emap on one of their more iconic products: Shots Magasine. They asked us to come in and help them rethink what the magasine stood for, who it was for and how they grow the awareness of the magasine. This has been a fantastic example of how small clever ways of talking to consumers generates big business changes. We hope you love the thinking.
